Classes on Astronomy and Consumer Affairs

Free 12-week classes designed especially for older adults are being offered beginning this week through the North Orange County Community College District’s adult continuing education division.
An astronomy class is being presented from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center, 340 W. Commonwealth Ave., and will include field trips in which students will observe the sky with telescopes.
Also in Fullerton, a “consumer affairs alert” class focusing on swindles and cons will be offered from 9 to 11 a.m. Fridays.
A one-day workshop on how to deal with aging parents will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Sept. 29 in Fullerton and Nov. 5 in Buena Park. Information: (714) 992-5876.
