AIDS Walk to Honor Its Top Fund-Raisers

Organizers for AIDS Walk Orange County on Monday will honor this year’s top fund-raisers, including a group of participants from Toshiba Corp. who raised more than $22,000 in contributions.
The event is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stix Park Place, 2981 W. Michelson Drive, Irvine.
This year, AIDS Walk Orange County will distribute $423,000 from the 1997 walk to nearly half a dozen AIDS services organizations in the county.
Last year, 13,000 walkers and 225 organizations, service clubs and corporate teams participated in the Orange County AIDS walk. In its 11-year history, the event has raised more than $3 million in the fight against AIDS.
The 12th annual walk is scheduled for Sunday, June 7, 1998, at UC Irvine.
