Volunteers Sought for Effort to Save Theater

Volunteers are needed by a local preservation group to gather signatures on a petition that urges city officials to preserve and restore the historic Fox Fullerton Theatre.
Members of Fullerton Heritage will canvass the city Sept. 27 in their effort to collect thousands of signatures. They already have 4,000 supporters on their petitions.
People interested in joining the campaign are asked to meet for a rally at 8:30 a.m. at the Fullerton Museum Center patio, 301 N. Pomona Ave.
In addition, the nonprofit organization, which promotes the preservation of historic buildings and places throughout the city, will offer $3 downtown walking tours.
