Goodwill Industries to Mark Anniversary

Goodwill Industries of Ventura and Santa Barbara counties will commemorate the agency’s first year as an autonomous agency April 12 through 19.
Anyone who donates reusable items during that week will receive free admission to Spaceplay, a Ventura arcade, and discount coupons to Goodwill stores.
“After one year of independent operation, we have successfully positioned Goodwill to serve people with the most severe barriers to employment,” said Katherine Leahy, president and chief executive officer of Goodwill of Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
Goodwill has stores and donation centers in Simi Valley, Oxnard, Santa Paula and Ventura.
