Reseda’s Morales Picked for U.S. National Team

Reseda High junior midfielder Carlos Morales has been named to the U.S. under-18 national soccer team that will play in Slovakia from April 21-May 4.

Next stop Paraclete running back Dominic Washington has signed with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
SWIMMING
Geehr is eighth: Carly Geehr, 13, of La Canada Flintridge finished eighth in the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:12.10 at the National Swimming Championships in Minneapolis.
Geehr, who swims for Rose Bowl Aquatics, finished sixth in the 200 on Friday night.
Sophomore Marissa Roarty of Ventura College swam the 400 individual medley in 4:37.77, a national junior college women’s record according to Coach Larry Baratte, at the Golden West Invitational at Golden West College.
TRACK AND FIELD
Another win for Skieresz: Amy Skieresz of Arizona, NCAA champion at 5,000 and 10,000 meters outdoors, led the 3,000 from start to finish, winning in a time of 9:20.85 during a four-way meet at USC.
Elizabeth Kampfe of Michigan finished second to Skieresz, a graduate of Agoura High, in 9:55.01.
