Prizes Donated for County Science Fair

Twenty local organizations donated products, services and scholarship awards for the Ventura County Science Fair, from April 21-23 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.
“We’re very pleased with the commitment we’ve gotten from local businesses and agencies,” said Morley Cohen, director of the 1998 fair.
The Port Hueneme Division of the Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center will award a guided tour of the Navy Satellite Operations Center.
Other prizes include $150 each for three winners from Merlin’s Mystical Emporium. Imation is offering a space camp trip for two students, and Amgen is providing $500 scholarships for the best biochemistry and microbiology projects. The Rain Network is awarding Internet service.
