VALENCIA — A youth was shot to death and two people were wounded Wednesday night in a parking lot at Six Flags Magic Mountain, authorities said.
Witnesses said the shooting was committed by a youth dressed in gang-member style and firing from a car, authorities said, adding that the youth may have fled in a white Geo Metro.
The shooting occurred about 8:40 p.m. in parking lot G--near the Colossus roller coaster--at the park near The Old Road and Magic Mountain Parkway.
One victim lay dead at the scene, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputy Joan Rayber said.
A woman and a boy were taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital for treatment of wounds, authorities said.
The victims were identified by a hospital spokeswoman as a 37-year-old woman shot in the right hand and a 14-year-old boy shot in the right foot. Both were in good condition.
Parents were reported arriving at the park to locate and bring home their children.
