Orange Residents and visitors now can buy fruits and vegetables along with antiques in Old Towne on Thursdays.
Dan Jensen, who owns the Antique Station at South Glassell Street and Almond Avenue, won a temporary, six-week permit to operate a certified farmer’s market on his parking lot from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursdays.
His application for a permanent permit for the market will be reviewed at a Planning Commission meeting Sept. 9.
In a letter to the community development director, Jensen explained that the market will help bring business to shops in the Old Towne area.
Produce will come from a ranch owned by his family that is already licensed by the state, he said.
