Panel to Discuss Plans for Studio Complex

The full North Hollywood Project Area Committee will meet Tuesday to discuss issues concerning the 43-acre studio complex proposal submitted by a Santa Monica-based shopping center developer.
The committee is an elected panel of 25 property owners, tenants, business owners and others that advises the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency on budgets and projects.
Also on the agenda is a motion to request that the city attorney’s office appoint separate counsel to the committee than the attorney who advises the Redevelopment Agency. Currently, the two share the same redevelopment attorney from the city attorney’s office.
The committee also will discuss the applicability of business and deliberations of California Government Code 1090, which deals with conflicts of interest and legislative decision-makers.
A status report on a 75-space parking lot under construction at Lankershim and Magnolia boulevards also will be given.
Tuesday’s meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 11605 Magnolia Blvd.
