Irvine Sensors Corp.: The Costa Mesa electronics company developer of electronic sensors posted net income of $442,400, or 1 cent a share, for the third fiscal quarter, compared with a loss of $2.2 million, or 10 cents a share, for the same period a year ago. The recent figure included a $921,700 gain from early payment of a debt. Revenue for the three months ended June 28 fell 35% to $2.4 million from $3.7 million as the company continued to feel the effects of closing its operations in Vermont.
For the nine months, the company posted net income of $639,800, or 3 cents a share, compared with a loss of $6.4 million, or 32 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue was off 33% to $7.1 million from $10.7 million.
