What: Pure Image Inc. Collegiate Football Team 16-Month Wall Calendars
Price: $11.95, in stores or by calling (800) 337-6057
For those who can’t get enough of college football, Pure Image Inc. has you in mind with its new line of wall calendars.
These calendars, displaying September 1998 through December 1999, are perfect for those who sit and dream of their team.
Pure Image Inc. has calendars for USC, Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Navy, Oregon, Stanford, Washington and Washington State.
With 11 1/4-inch by 13 3/4-inch full-color and black-and-white photos and smaller color shots depicting different moments in each program’s football history, these calendars offer plenty beautiful images to see, as well as 487 days to keep track of. There are also schedules for the next two seasons.
However, the calendars are not without their flaws.
Pure Images Inc. sends out mailers to the schools’ great players, asking permission to use their photos. If there’s no response, they can’t use them.
So some of the biggest names from the schools’ past aren’t in the calendars. For example, the USC calendar has no Marcus Allen, Mike Garrett or O.J. Simpson, the school’s three Heisman Trophy winners.
But if you’re a college football fan who needs a calendar, these are still worth owning, based on the images alone.
And if that’s not enough, part of the money spent purchasing these calendars will support the schools and their football programs.
