Ever think of starting your own business, but don’t know where to begin?
Mission College offers a specially funded program for people with low-to-moderate incomes who wish to become business owners.
In a free 18-week Entrepreneurial Training Program, students will learn about writing a business plan, licensing and marketing strategies.
More than 800 people have completed the program since it began seven years ago, starting such businesses as restaurants, flower shops and child-care facilities.
Classes meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Jan. 12 at the college, 13356 Eldridge Ave., Sylmar. Enrollment begins Jan. 4. For more information, call (818) 837-2236.
