The Centris Group Inc.: The Costa Mesa provider of insurance and reinsurance products and services reported fourth-quarter net income of $3.8 million, or 62 cents a share, down 3% from the $3.9 million, or 65 cents a share, for the 1996 fourth quarter. Revenue advanced 25% to $56.3 million from $45.1 million. For the year, net income rose 1% to $15.2 million, or $2.50 a share, from $15 million, or $2.51 a share, for 1996. Revenue gained 32% to $214.5 million from $163.1 million.
The company also said its board has authorized a 2-for-1 split of its common stock in the form of a stock dividend. The stock split will increase the number of outstanding shares to 12.2 million.
