Archive to Screen ‘The Apartment’

The UCLA Film Archive will screen Billy Wilder’s “The Apartment” (1960) Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in UCLA’s James Bridges Theater as part of its monthly “Desert Island Movies” series.
“L.A. Confidential” director Curtis Hanson will introduce the film and has said Wilder “was one of the filmmakers whose unique voice and vivid style first made me aware that someone behind the camera was telling the story that I was watching unfold on the screen.”
