Henry McAteer; Psychiatric Nurse, Avid Reader

Ojai resident Henry McAteer, a former psychiatric nurse who worked at St. Joseph’s Health and Retirement facility for the past 12 years, died Feb. 3. He was 85.
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on May 23, 1912, McAteer was a Ventura County resident since 1986.
He was an avid reader.
Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph’s Chapel in Ojai. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s.
Internment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
