Bolling’s Homer Lifts Saddleback

Kirk Bolling hit a home run to start the bottom of the ninth, giving host Saddleback a 6-5 victory over Bakersfield in the Casey Stengel baseball tournament Monday.

Bolling’s home run, his fifth, came after Bakersfield’s Tim Hooper hit a two-run home run in the top of the ninth to tie it, 5-5. Nick Punto, Jason Marian and Greg Pines also homered for Saddleback (7-1).

Santa Ana wins twice--Michael Vento had three hits and drove in four runs in a 12-6 victory over Bakersfield and Rick Gonzalez had two hits and three RBIs as the Dons (11-1) beat Los Angeles Harbor, 8-3.

Orange Coast 6, Canyons 3--Yoshi Ehniger and John Fenoglio each had three hits and two runs scored for host Orange Coast (6-2). Canyons is 7-1.
