Meeting to Address Transportation Plan
Local members of the Southern California Assn. of Governments will host a public meeting today to discuss a draft proposal of their long-term transportation plan and how it would serve Ventura County residents.
Beginning at 7 p.m. at Moorpark City Hall, 799 N. Moorpark Ave., members will outline proposals in the 1998 Regional Transportation Plan and will hear suggestions from the public to refine the plan to meet residents’ needs.
The proposed 1998 plan, which would guide planning through 2020, includes transportation projects aimed at improving Southern California’s aging infrastructure to provide better service to residents from San Diego to Camarillo.
Association board members will review the plan at their March 5 meeting in Los Angeles and are scheduled to approve it April 2.
For information on the meeting, call Moorpark City Hall at 529-6864.
