FULLERTON — Community groups interested in keeping city parks clean for a 17-week period are being sought to participate in the local “Adopt-A-Park” program.
Applications will be available at City Hall, 303 W. Commonwealth Ave., beginning today, and must be returned by Jan. 22.
Participating groups are expected to visit their assigned parks at least once a week to pick up trash and report any dangerous objects, broken equipment or suspicious activities.
Only nonprofit, Fullerton-based organizations will be considered for the work.
In exchange, the city pays $325 to each group after the work period--Feb. 8 through June 6--is completed.
