Rocker Meredith Brooks, whose song “Bitch” this week received Grammy nominatons this week for female rock vocal and best rock song.
Friday: Private yoga lessons with guru Singh, then I’ll meet friends in the afternoon and browse around the Bodhi Tree, a bookstore on Melrose.
Friday night: I have dinner at a favorite restaurant. Sometimes we go to a Wolfgang Puck’s Cafe. I love their Chinois Salad. Then we see a movie at one of the Laemmle theaters: Fridays are art-film days.
Saturday: I start the day with spinning class and then sometimes I meet my girlfriends for coffee. After that, I head over to the Deluxe on Fairfax for a manicure.
Saturday night: Usually I meet up with my friends for a dinner party. After that, we rent film noir videos such as “The Maltese Falcon,” “The Seventh Seal” and “Double Indemnity.”
Sunday morning: I start the day with bagels and coffee at home and do some reading. Then I meditate or do yoga. I usually like to spend part of the day by myself. Sometimes I go for a walk at the park or the beach or on a hike where I can meditate.
Sunday afternoon: My date and I go to Century City for “date day.” We walk around the mall, look at books in Brentano’s, try on some clothes, eat when we want and then see the latest movie release. The last few times I was there we saw “Soul Food,” “The Game” and “Good Will Hunting.”
Sunday night: Come home early and chill in bed.
