East Saves and Westlake Wins

Ethan East singled home the winning run in the seventh inning and picked up a save in the Westlake Indians’ 11-10 victory over Agoura in a American Legion District 16 baseball game at Agoura High on Tuesday.
East gave up no hits, struck out two, walked one and hit a batter in one inning of relief.
East and Garrett Michaels had two hits for Westlake.
David Johnson had four hits with a home run and two RBIs for Agoura (15-13), which scored four runs in the sixth to tie the score, 10-10.

In other District 16 games:
Royal 15, Newbury Park 4--Brian Lipman of Royal had two hits, four RBIs and scored three times in the game at Royal High that was called after 4 1/2 innings because of the 10-run rule.
Buz Byer had two hits, three RBIs and scored twice for Royal (20-2), and Dereck O’Keefe had two hits and an RBI.
Ojai 5, Oxnard 3--David Chaparro and Paul Shirey each drove in a run for Ojai in a three-run fourth inning at Channel Islands High.
Matt Leeth also drove in a run for Ojai. Nick Quintana hit a two-run single for Oxnard (7-14).
Matt Foster (1-0) and Joe Garcia (0-2) each gave up five hits and three walks with seven strikeouts.
Camarillo A 9, Santa Susana 9--Joe Yingling hit two home runs for Camarillo A and Tony Ortega drove in four runs for Santa Susana (15-4-1) at Camarillo High.
Yingling hit two-run homers in the first and third innings, but flied out to center with the bases loaded and two out in the seventh.
Ortega doubled twice, and Andy Gerber had two hits and three RBIs for Santa Susana.
Conejo 10, Westlake 8--Ian Corso had three hits and John Smith and Doug Hutton each had two hits for Conejo (19-8) at Thousand Oaks High.
Corso and Hutton each hit solo home runs in the fifth inning, and Hutton had a run-scoring double in the third. Michael Nickeas hit a grand slam and run-scoring double for Westlake.
