Latino Students Found Lagging

The nation’s burgeoning Latino population is lagging far behind other racial and ethnic groups in educational achievement from pre-kindergarten through college, according to a report by the country’s largest Latino advocacy organization. The National Council of La Raza said in Philadelphia that Latino students are less likely to be enrolled in Head Start, less likely to take rigorous academic classes and far more likely to drop out than children from other groups.
