Promenade at Westlake Honored for Innovative Design
- Share via
The Promenade at Westlake is one of seven shopping centers around the world honored for innovative design at the 22nd International Design and Development Awards Program sponsored by the International Council of Shopping Centers.
The awards were established to recognize excellence in the field of design and development, and to honor shopping centers whose developers and architects have created models that set industry standards and address problems such as expansion, unusual sites and obsolete tenant mixes, designs and layouts.
Judging is based on a point system that measures presentation of entry materials; design, combination of colors, materials and lighting; interior and exterior design; overall development goals, including economic success of the project; and degree of difficulty and innovation.
The Promenade at Westlake, located in Thousand Oaks, is owned by Caruso Affiliated Holdings Management Co. Altevers Associates was the architect and designer for the project.
