Moorpark 34, East L.A. 7--Three Moorpark running backs rushed for touchdowns and the Raiders scored 21 fourth-quarter points to run away from the Huskies in a WSC Southern Division game at East L.A.
Moorpark (7-1, 5-0), which ran for 296 yards in the second half, accumulated 448 yards, including 383 on the ground.
Carl Richardson led the Raider attack, rushing for 180 yards in 25 carries. Richardson began the scoring with a 10-yard run early in the first quarter.
Quarterback Bryan Spencer passed for only 65 yards, completing two of seven passes, but his 10-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter started the Moorpark rally.
Backup running back Emory Hofmans ran for 64 yards in seven carries and scored on a 25-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth quarter.
Emmanuel Evans rushed for 80 yards in seven carries and scored on a 26-yard run with seven seconds left.
East L.A.’s Thunder Collins rushed for 100 yards in 15 carries.
