David Ingram Resigns From Board of Ingram Micro Inc.

David Ingram has resigned from the board of directors of Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro Inc., the company said Friday.

Ingram, who is president and chairman of home video distributor Ingram Entertainment Inc. in La Vergne, Tenn., said he made the move to avoid potential conflicts of interest.

Ingram said he is selling his online retailer SpeedServe Inc. to a significant customer of Ingram Micro. Also, he is acquiring a controlling interest in a computer liquidation business that sells products to Ingram Micro and other distributors, he said.
