The city will kick off its 14th annual La Palma Days on Friday. The three-day celebration, centered at Central Park, 7821 Walker St., is a salute to community spirit. A parade will be held Saturday at 10 a.m., starting at Houston Avenue and Walker Street and with the theme “Peace Officers: Dedicated to the Community.” Last year the event drew 12,000 people.
