The Griffins definitely have a couple of reasons to be ready to play this game. A victory guarantees their first outright league championship since 1994 and probably gets them seeded no lower than fourth in the Southern Section Division I playoffs. And Marina upset Los Alamitos, 28-14, last season. The Ryan Hanson-to-Keenan Howry connection has been one of the county’s best. Marina’s Ray Mietkiewicz moved from fullback to tailback last week and ran for 191 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-33 loss to Esperanza. Tonight’s game will be televised live on Fox Sports West 2.
