The city will unveil a gingerbread replica of its planned community center Saturday to celebrate the beginning of work on the $22-million project. The community center and sports park will include four ball fields, a roller hockey rink and skate park. Construction on the 40,000-square-foot project will begin next spring and should be complete by 2000. The free event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at council chambers, 25201 Paseo de Alicia St., Suite 150. Information: (949) 707-2600.
