In a deal that creates a larger force in the air-monitoring industry, Enertec Inc. said it acquired KVB Inc. of Irvine for an undisclosed sum.
The combined companies will be known as KVB-Enertec Inc. and will be based in Lansdale, Pa. The company will continue to operate a manufacturing plant in Irvine.
The privately held concern employs 90 people, although several executives from both companies were let go as a result of overlapping duties, said David Renaud, the combined entities’ vice president.
KVB is considered a pioneer in emissions-monitoring techniques that are required under government guidelines. Enertec is known for innovative ways of collecting and reporting air-emissions data.
