*** Black Sabbath, “Reunion,” Epic. The first official live recording of Sabbath’s original lineup is, predictably, an onslaught of greatest hits. Ozzy Osbourne’s vocals sound a bit thin in places, but the godfathers of metal prove they can still conjure up that old black magic. Two new studio tracks rock with satisfying grit and gloom, but it’s hard to meet or beat classics such as “Iron Man” and “Paranoid.”
Albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent). The albums are already released unless otherwise noted.
