British Academy L.A. Will Screen Short Films

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles will present “New Directions,” a program of seven short films from new British directors, Monday at 7 p.m. at the Museum of Tolerance’s Peltz Theater.
The films, to be presented in association with the First Film Foundation, are Asif Kapadia’s “The Sheep Thief,” James Pilkington’s “Disco,” Richard Clark’s “Hungry,” Nick Love’s “Love Story,” Malcolm Venville’s “Silent Film,” Morag McKinnon’s “Home” and Barney Cokeliss’ “Queens Park Story.”
A post-screening reception with the directors is scheduled for 9 p.m.
