‘Fullerton Friends’ Set Free-Concert Schedule

The Fullerton Friends of Music has announced its 41st season of free concerts. Groups and repertory will include:
* Oct. 17--Los Angeles Piano Quartet: Dvorak’s Piano Quartet in D, Opus 23; John Harbison’s “Nov. 19, 1828: Hallucinations in Four Episodes” (A Tombeau for Schubert); Brahms’ Piano Quartet in G minor, Opus 25.
* Dec. 5--Musica Angelica: works by Monteverdi, Vivaldi, Purcell and other composers.
* Jan. 23--Ayke Agus, piano; Calico Winds: Bach’s “Little” Fugue (arranged by Roger Stevens); Rossini’s Quartet for Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon and Horn; Beethoven’s Quintet in E-flat, Opus 16; Mozart’s Divertimento No. 3, K. 439b (arranged by Paul Glazer); Poulenc’s Septuour for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn and Piano.
* Feb. 27--Pacifica Quartet: Schubert’s Quartettsatz in C minor, D. 703; Stravinsky’s Concertino for String Quartet; Beethoven’s Quartet in E-flat, Opus 74 (“Harp”); Mendelssohn’s Quartet in F minor, Opus 80.
* April 2--Jerusalem Trio: Brahms’ Piano Trio in B, Opus 8; Paul Ben-Haim’s Variations on a Hebrew Melody; Tchaikovsky’s Piano Trio in A minor, Opus 50.
* Concerts will be held in the Performing Arts Center at Sunny Hills High School, 1801 Warburton Way, and will begin at 3:30 p.m. Information: (714) 525-8617.
