More Bodies Found in Building Rubble

Searchers recovered five more bodies and rescued a dog but found no other survivors four days after a Philippine housing project collapsed in a rain-triggered landslide. An army rescuer hugged and kissed the dog, a poodle, after hearing it barking in the rubble and digging it out. Forty bodies have been recovered from piles of mud, concrete slabs and twisted tin roofs at the hillside housing development in Antipolo, east of Manila, bringing the death toll from a week of monsoon rains in the capital area to at least 110. Twenty-six people remained missing in the landslide. More than half of the 500 townhouses at the housing estate were destroyed in the landslide.
