To prepare for the High Holidays in September, the University Synagogue in Irvine is holding a “Hebrew Marathon” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 29. The purpose is to refresh those rusty in Hebrew so they can follow along at Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services.
Bring a dairy lunch; drinks and dessert will be provided at the free event, held at the Woodbridge Village Assn. Center, Alder Sycamore room, 31 Creek Road. Call (949) 553-3535 by Monday to save a spot.
