Ice Dogs Lose in Shootout, 3-2

SALT LAKE CITY — Dmitir Leonov had a goal and an assist for the Ice Dogs in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Utah Grizzlies on Wednesday night.
Allan Egeland scored his first goal for Long Beach to tie the score at 1-1 at 5:04 of the first period, and Leonov’s goal at 3:05 of the third put the Ice Dogs up by one. Ex-Ice Dog Sean Tallaire tied it for Utah at 5:41 of the third period.
King defenseman Jere Karalahti scored on Rich Parent in the shootout, but Joe Frederick and Richard Park scored for the Grizzlies.
