Councilman Kenneth Blake was given a clock by the City Council in recognition of his year of service as mayor earlier this month during the annual reorganization meeting.
Blake thanked the council and said his job was made easy because of the help he received from city workers and other council members this year.
Alta E. Duke will take over as mayor for next year.
