The “Great American Quilts” exhibition opens this weekend, featuring more than 30 vintage and new quilts on display at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace. Among those featured will be the Cherry Tree Quilt, given to First Lady Pat Nixon by the Save the Children Federation in 1971, and a quilt that once adorned the bed on which Richard Nixon was born. The quilts will be displayed through July 5. The library is at 18001 Yorba Linda Blvd. Information: (714) 993-5075.
