The Piecemakers Country Store has received a warning from the county health department for a number of health code violations. The Christian group has a history of fighting municipal fire, building and health code inspections.
The group, based in the Mesa Verde area, is on probation with both the city and county for previous violations. As a condition of its probation, the Piecemakers must submit to regular unannounced inspections.
The store at 1720 Adams Ave. was cited for violations that included not covering a sugar bowl, having too many dishes in the kitchen and using a mop closet for storage, said Marie Kolasinski, a Piecemakers spokeswoman.
