The Parks and Recreation Commission recently sent a proposal to the City Council calling for a new design plan for the Alicia Parkway Skateboard and Soccer Park. The commission wants to use a portion of the Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park for the skateboard and soccer park expansion, which the current plan doesn’t take into account.
The county-owned land, which includes a multiuse trail along Aliso Creek, borders the project area. City officials are negotiating with the county for use of the land for the soccer field and skateboard park.
