NORTH HOLLYWOOD — An unidentified woman was listed in critical condition Sunday after she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a traffic pole and a telephone pole, police said.
The accident occurred about 12:25 a.m. Sunday on Vineland Avenue near Riverside Drive, said Sgt. David Clinton of the Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Division.
The driver, described as 30 to 35 years old, was traveling northbound on Vineland when she apparently lost control of the vehicle, hit the center divider, then smashed into the poles.
She was being treated at Providence Holy Cross Hospital in North Hills for multiple-system trauma, fractures, contusions and abrasions, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Police have not determined whether the driver is the owner of the vehicle, and she had no identification with her, Clinton said.
