After the City Council’s 3-to-2 approval Tuesday of a 60-bed Alzheimer’s home, several residents vowed to continue fighting against the facility. More than 20 residents showed up to protest the 24-hour assisted-living home for senior citizens who suffer from Alzheimer’s.
The 2.6-acre property, at Yorba Linda Boulevard and Summit Drive, is designated as residential. City officials said the 27,000-square-foot, one-story Alzheimer’s home is intended to fit in with the community and will not disturb neighbors.
The council will vote on the project’s design review in two weeks.
