When the two teams met earlier this season, Villa Park won a close match, 10-9. The Argonauts were playing without Jamie Kong, who was sidelined because of a pulled muscle. Villa Park swept the girls’ matches. Kong, who plays girls’ and mixed doubles is back and healthy for today’s match. Garden Grove won all but one boys’ match and will need to duplicate that effort in order to have a chance. In mixed doubles Garden Grove’s Tam Nguyen and Rosie Pham were defeated by Southern Section champions Mike Chansawangpuvana and Mesinee Mangkalakiri, the Argonauts’ only loss in mixed doubles.
