Starting June 20, the city will hold five free concerts from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Costeau Park, at Alicia Parkway and Costeau, just west of Interstate 5. The Sunday Concerts in the Park series features many bands and musical styles. The Rockit Scientists get things rolling June 20, performing songs from the 1950s and ‘60s. The Orange Colored Sky Band plays its mix of 1970s and ‘80s on July 11. Rhythm and blues will follow when AD and Soul Co. perform July 25. The South Coast Trio will play country and bluegrass Aug. 8, and the Caribbean sounds of the reggae and calypso band Upstream will close out the series Aug. 22.
