The Orange County Public Library system will kick off its Summer Reading Program in late June. The program, called “Long Ago and Far Away: A Dragon’s Tale,” will have a medieval fantasy theme aimed at making reading fun for children. Library branches will offer activities, contests and prizes for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. The El Toro Branch Library’s program will run from June 21 through Aug. 7 and will provide prizes and incentives to kids for every five books they check out and read. El Toro also will hold special programs Wednesdays at 2 p.m. from June 23 to Aug. 4, in addition to Tuesday story time sessions. The library is at 24672 Raymond Way. Information: (949) 855-8173.
