Seniors Andrew J. Barr and Elke L. Wong of Canyon High School were selected recently to receive National Merit Scholarships, designated for 4,100 outstanding students nationwide. The competition began a year ago with a pool of 1.2 million students from nearly 20,000 U.S. high schools. The awards range from $250 to $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.
