ANGELS-DODGERS REPORT

About 90,000 Marcus cable television subscribers in Glendale, Burbank, La Canada-Flintridge and Whittier were deprived of seeing Sunday’s Dodger-Angel game on Fox Sports West 2 because of a dispute over the fee charged by Fox Sports West for its two regional sports networks.
Fox Sports West cut off service for both networks at midnight Saturday after negotiations stalled and does not plan to restore service until the issue is settled.
“It’s unfortunate,” said Fox Sports West spokesman Steve Webster, “but Marcus must abide by its contract and pay the proper amount.”
Webster did not say what that amount is, but said a discrepancy arose after Marcus merged with Charter Communications last summer in a deal put together by Seattle billionaire Paul Allen. Charter’s fee for the two networks is less than what Marcus pays, and that apparently is the sticking point.
