“Heading East, the Musical” will begin its three-night stint at the Irvine Barclay Theatre at 7:30 tonight. Presented by the Orange County Sesquicentennial Assn., the play aims to describe much of California Asians’ history through drama and music. Special guest hosts will open the three showings. George Takei, who played Mr. Sulu in the “Star Trek” series and movies, will open tonight, followed by Huell Howser on Thursday and Kieu Chinh on Friday. The theater is at 4242 Campus Drive.
