A masked gunman robbed a small neighborhood market in west Ventura early Saturday morning, police said.
The holdup occurred about 7:30 a.m. at The Corner Market in the 1400 block of Ventura Avenue, Ventura Police Sgt. Skip Young said. No one was injured.
The robber walked into the store, pointed a gun at clerk Akbar Agha and demanded that he open the register, Young said. The robber took cash from the tray and then left on foot.
Police would not say how much money was stolen.
