Vitamin manufacturer Nutrilite said it spent $5.25 million to build and outfit the new quality assurance facility it will open Tuesday at its Buena Park headquarters.
The 23,050-square-foot facility replaces a 5,000-square-foot laboratory built in 1958. It houses a microbiology lab, assay facilities, specialized glassware washing facilities and administrative offices. The lab will have the capacity to test more than 700 million tablets per month and, at full capacity, will employ more than 40 people.
