New Train to Link Brussels, Paris Airport

Rail Europe this month is expanding its network of Thalys high-speed trains, which link 17 cities in France, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
On Nov. 28, service begins between Brussels and Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport. There will be four daily trips. One-way coach fares will be about $65--the same as on the current Thalys route between Brussels and Paris’ Gare du Nord train station. The trip will take about one hour, 40 minutes. Last week, France announced plans to build a new high-speed TGV line between Paris and Strasbourg starting next year.
Rail Europe also said that, after several years of increases, it will keep prices for its Europasses and Eurailpasses at this year’s level for next year. Tel. (888) 382-7245.
