The city met with members of a homeowners association Monday to continue discussing a proposed 18-hole golf course at the end of Camino Las Ramblas.
The proposal calls for the development of a 180-acre golf course, restaurant, pro shop and clubhouse in a residential neighborhood. Members of Ocean Pointe told the city and the developer they oppose the golf course because it would increase traffic and noise and eliminate natural open space.
City officials said they would take the residents’ concerns into consideration before submitting a measure to council members in January.
